Cookie Policy

This site is served through Cloudflare, which may set one security cookie at the network edge. Everything beyond that is your choice: the banner lets you allow each category separately, or accept them all at once. Below is everything that may end up on your device, who sets it and why.

This one is set only if Cloudflare challenges you, which most visitors never are — if you are not challenged, Cloudflare leaves nothing on your device at all.

When it is set, it is set by Cloudflare’s network before any of our page code runs, so we cannot switch it off for you and the banner cannot decline it. Under the ePrivacy Directive it is strictly necessary — it exists to protect the site from automated abuse — so it does not require consent. It carries no advertising identifier and we do not use it to build a profile of you.

When you save your choices in the banner, we store them:

This cookie is the record of your choice. It holds nothing but the names of the categories you allowed — or the word none if you allowed none of them. There is no identifier in it and nothing that says who you are. Because it exists only to respect your decision, it is set whichever way you choose, including when you reject everything.

Analytics cookies — your choice

This is the one optional category in the banner today. Allowing it lets us load analytics that tell us, in aggregate, which pages people visit and how they arrive. We use that to decide what to build and what to explain better.

At the moment no cookie-based analytics is active on this site. The banner and the consent cookie are in place first, so that nothing can ever be loaded before you have been asked. If and when we switch it on, the provider and the cookies it sets will be listed here before it goes live. If we ever add a further category, it will appear in the banner switched off, and you will be asked again.

Leave it unticked, or press Reject all, and nothing beyond the necessary cookies above is stored and no analytics loads. The site works exactly the same way.

Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people visit which pages. It is cookieless: it writes nothing to your device, sets no identifier and cannot follow you to other sites. Measurements are aggregate only.

Because it stores and reads nothing on your device, it falls outside the consent requirement, which is why it is not one of the choices in the banner. It is listed here so the picture is complete.

Nothing else is stored

Beyond the cookies in the tables above, we write nothing to cookies, local storage or session storage. We set no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels and no third-party embeds.

Your language is part of the address rather than a cookie. English is served at squadrivo.com, and the other languages sit under /de/, /fr/ and /it/. Choosing a language in the menu simply takes you to that address, so you can bookmark or share a page in the language you want.

Changing your mind

Select Cookie settings in the footer at any time. The banner reappears showing what you allowed last time, and you can change any of it. Nothing changes until you press one of the buttons, and withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it — Reject all is one click, exactly like Accept all.

You can also delete cookies in your browser settings. If you delete the consent cookie, we will ask you again on your next visit. cf_clearance will come back the next time Cloudflare challenges you, because the site cannot be protected without it.

Changes to this policy

If we introduce cookie-based analytics or any other cookie, we will update this page and change the date at the top before doing so.
